Shih Tzu On Dangerous Dogs List

Yes, it is surprising. It is quite difficult to comprehend that Shih Tzu are in fact being called dangerous and are even included on the watch list of dangerous dogs in a state in the USA. Together with Pitbulls, Rottweilers, German Shepherds, Golden Retrievers, Chihuahuas, English Mastiffs, a Shih Tzu is included in the dangerous dog list in Butler County, Cincinnati, Ohio. We still not know what this certain Shih Tzu dog has for him or her to be included in the list; but it is a shocker to see one in the list. Shih Tzu are known as sweet, loving, calm and relaxed dogs – the main reason why they are preferred by so many pet owners. They are easy to get along with because they are gentle mannered; but they can also be playful and fun at the same time. Most people see them as perfect pets that’s why it is intriguing why a Shih Tzu ended up being called dangerous.

Shih Tzu On Dangerous Dogs List

Most people agree that all dogs can be dangerous – if they are trained to be like that by their owners. There are certain breeds which are more prone to being vicious; but given a good training and well structured behavioral course, all dogs are believed to be smart enough to recognize when to be dangerous or not. Surely, something may have caused these dogs (especially the Shih Tzu) to behave dangerously. According to reports, the owners of these dangerous dogs are required to pay $50 for a license fee and they are also expected to file liability insurance. Apart from that, the poor dog must wear a tag with a picture of a dog in vicious mode, with all canines showing on a snarling face; placed on a locked cage and never to be allowed to roam without leash; and to be spayed or neutered. Yes, these may be special precautions to avoid any accident and any human getting hurt; but we do believe that there are other ways to control these dogs and not to succumb them to the unnatural way of living. We are calling them vicious; but isn’t the way we treat them enough for us to be called the same?
